attack on a 52-year-old Paget man at the Hamilton bus terminal.

The man was at the Washington Street bus depot around 8.15 a.m. when he was approached from behind and struck on the back of his head twice with a plastic baseball bat, Police spokesman Sgt. John Dale said.

"The assailant then started throwing bottles at the man,'' Sgt. Dale said.

"A fragment of broken bottle cut the man on his right arm.'' The assailant was described as medium height, brown-skinned, slim build, with a box haircut and a thin moustache.

He was wearing a grey track suit with red and gold colours.

Police saw him near Kings Court and Mello's Bakery on Curving Avenue and ran after him. But he escaped on a pedal cycle.
