Magistrates' Court yesterday.
Anthony Gordon pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis in his Derwent Lane residence on May 15.
Insp. Peter Duffy, prosecuting, said Gordon handed over two pay-type envelopes with a total of .14 grams of cannabis to Police, who with a warrant, searched his home.
Gordon, who had no reckonable offences, said: "I was in my home. I at times do use marijuana as part of my belief.'' He said Police had told him he should smoke cannabis in his home rather than on the streets.
"So I thought this was best,'' Gordon said.
"I hope Police do not tell you that,'' Magistrate the Wor. John Judge said.
"Mr. Gordon you know you're not allowed to do it and that's that.''
