$500 in Magistrates' Court.

Carlos Richardson of Pearman's Hill said that he damaged the car in retaliation for threats made against his family.

Insp. Peter Duffy, prosecuting, told the court that the car was covered with paint while it was parked at a Serpentine Road residence. Both the interior and exterior of the vehicle were heavily damaged.

Richardson was questioned at the Hamilton Police station and made a statement under caution that he did vandalise the car.

Richardson told Senior Magistrate, the Wor. Will Francis, that he fired the woman as his singing partner after her tardiness caused them to lose a contract with Mermaid Beach Club. He said that after her dismissal, the woman and her boyfriend began to harass him, and make threatening phone calls to his family.

"I was under a lot of pressure because she caused me to lose my job,'' Richardson said. "And I was very angry because they threatened my family.'' Mr. Francis told the 29-year-old entertainer he could not take the law into his own hands, and that he should learn to keep a cool head.

Richardson was also fined $300 for driving while disqualified on June 28 on Lane Hill in Pembroke.
