HENRY VIII PLANS DELI EAT Henry VIII plans deli A South Shore restaurant is seeking permission to tear down a liquor store and replace it with a deli.

The Henry VIII Restaurant and Pub in Southampton recently submitted an application to the Development Applications Board to demolish an existing detached building, known as Henry's Pantry.

According to the application, a new neighbourhood deli, with basement storage, will replace it.

Manager Andy Allan yesterday said the restaurant did not plan to implement the changes in the near future.

"I can't really comment on this because we are just putting together a concept,'' he explained. "Nothing is fixed, we're just waiting to see if they (the plans) get through.'' SCHOOL OFFICE BURGLED CRM ED School office burgled A thief or thieves targeted the Francis Patton School sometime over the weekend, ransacking the principal's office in a possible search for money.

Nothing is believed to have been stolen however, and Police are continuing their investigation.

Meanwhile, overnight on Sunday thieves struck the Little Venice restaurant on Bermudiana Road, making off with eight bottles of liquor valued at $150.

The break-in was discovered by the chef on Monday morning.

THREE VEHICLES COLLIDE AC Three vehicles collide Police were called to the scene of a three-vehicle road traffic accident at 8.30 a.m. yesterday on North Shore Road, near Shelly Bay Field.

No-one was injured when one light-duty truck and two cars, all travelling west, were involved in a multiple rear-end collision. Police were unable to give an estimate of damage.

Meanwhile shortly before noon on Monday, a 30-year-old Connecticut woman was involved in a single vehicle accident in St. George's.

The woman was travelling south on Duke of Kent Street on a livery cycle when she apparently panicked because of her speed, lost control, and fell. She sustained a deep laceration to her thigh and was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital by ambulance.

SCHOOL VANDALISED CRM ED School vandalised Vandals targeted Clearwater Middle School before it opened for classes this week.

Police yesterday reported that the school library was entered on Sunday night and a fire extinguisher was sprayed throughout the room, including on computers and audiovisual equipment.

A computer also had ketchup sprayed on its terminal and keyboard, Police spokesperson Evelyn James Barnett said.

When contacted yesterday, Clearwater principal Charlotte Ming played down the incident, saying only minor damage was caused.

"It was just some little neighbourhood kids who came in and did a little damage to the library, nothing major,'' she said. "It has been cleaned up.'' Mrs. Ming said she did not know how the intruders were able to enter the school, off St. David's Road, which has security officers during the day and the gate closed at night.

But she stressed that such vandalism will not be tolerated.
