fined $800 in Magistrates' Court yesterday.

Patrick Durham of Upland Lane also pleaded guilty to driving without a licence on August 31.

Insp. Peter Duffy, prosecuting, said officers on patrol on St. David's Road at its junction with the USNAS' No. 2 gate, saw Durham's cycle go through a red light.

The officers pursued Durham, signalling for him to stop. He increased his speed and the emergency equipment was flashed on.

Insp. Duffy said Durham overtook a number of cycles, crossing the centre yellow line. An officer on a motorcycle managed to stop him at the St. David's Post Office.

Durham told the officers: "You got me. What are you going to do now? All you got is no driving licence.'' Insp. Duffy said traffic along the road was particularly heavy as there was a County game on that day in St. David's. He added that Durham had received six convictions in the previous 18 months for driving without a licence.

Durham told Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis he had not yet obtained a licence.

Mr. Francis fined him $300 for driving without a licence and $500 for driving in a manner dangerous.
