Chase driver is still allowed to use truck
off the road for 12 months for all vehicles except trucks.
Rui Madeiros, of North Shore Road Hamilton Parish, pleaded guilty in Magistrates' Court to driving while disqualified and driving in a dangerous manner.
The court heard that Madeiros was travelling east on Verdmont Road, Smith's Parish when Police spotted him speeding.
Madeiros was driving at more than 70 kph when Police lost sight of him near Vesey Street, Prosecutor Sgt. John Dale said.
Police -- by identifying Madeiros' licence number -- found the Suzuki motorcycle at his Devonshire home and identified him.
Madeiros, 24, admitted he was riding the bike and received tickets to appear in court.
Madeiros' lawyer Mr. Mark Pettingill told Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis that Madeiros needed to have a licence because he drove a truck at his family's business.
Mr. Francis allowed Madeiros to keep his truck licence. But he stipulated that Madeiros could only drive between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
He also fined Madeiros $500 for driving while disqualified and $400 for driving in a dangerous manner.
