Former United Bermuda Party candidate Ramadhin Smith will lead the initiative in his old "stumping ground'' today.

And he has urged area residents and all members of the public, who were concerned about the decline of the North Hamilton area, to get involved.

"The area is really being neglected by everybody, not just the residents,'' Mr. Smith told The Royal Gazette last month. "With all the bad publicity that Middle Town has been getting, I thought it would be nice to have something positive about the area.'' The clean-up, which will include picking up trash and clearing properties the Middle Town Terrace and Middle Town areas, begins at 9 a.m.

Volunteers should assemble at the store of Alpheaus Black on the corner of King and Angle streets.

Free pizza from Four Star and water from Pure Water (Bermuda) Ltd. will be available.
