the preliminary inquiry of Kirk Thomas Roberts and Alphonso Holder continued.

Roberts, 39, from Sandys and Holder, 36, from St. Vincent and the Grenadines were charged on January 24 with conspiring with others to import cannabis.

Roberts was additionally charged with possessing cannabis with intent to supply and possession of drug equipment.

The two did not have to enter a plea as the matter is indictable.

TRIBUTES PAID TO POLICE ADVISOR OBT POL Tributes paid to police advisor Police Commissioner Jonathan Smith last night paid tribute to Canadian consultant Frank McCallion, who died yesterday.

Mr. McCallion had been contracted to Police in Bermuda between 1998 and 2001 -- completing his contract just at the end of April.

Mr. Smith said: "The service is appreciative of his efforts over the past few years. He proved to be a valuable asset to senior management, and advised the service and the Commissioner of Police in the strategic change process. He will be sadly missed.''
