DEFIED BAN CTS Defied ban A social inquiry report was ordered yesterday on a man who defied a ban preventing him from visiting the Summerhaven home for physically handicapped.

George Palmer pleaded guilty in Magistrates' Court to trespassing.

Insp. Peter Duffy, prosecuting, said Police were alerted last Thursday after Palmer turned up at the home, demanded to enter a room, and became abusive to staff.

Palmer said he wanted to get some bank books from a "lady friend''.

Magistrate the Wor. John Judge adjourned the case until August 25.

CANNABIS FIND CTS Cannabis find Police who searched a youth sitting on a wall in Princess Street, St.

George's, found cannabis in his right shoe, Magistrates' Court heard yesterday.

Inspector Peter Duffy, prosecuting, said officers became suspicious because Orlando V. Crane appeared nervous. They found .44 grams of the drug in a manila envelope, he added.

Crane, from St. George's, pleaded guilty to possessing cannabis on April 27.

Magistrate the Wor. John Judge ordered a social inquiry report.

ON THE CHEAP CTS On the cheap Smith's resident Ian Hilton was yesterday fined $90 after he admitted speeding at 53k on Middle Road, Devonshire, on June 13. Magistrates' Court heard the fine would have been $150 if he had been caught under the new speeding fine system which came into effect on August 1.
