"Our Fraud Squad would again like to advise people to be cautious when receiving phone calls or correspondence which seems to attempt to persuade them to part either with their credit card numbers or money,'' Police spokesman Sgt. John Dale said.
"So far we believe nobody has parted with any monies.
"But just to be on the safe side please do not part with any unless you are absolutely sure you know who you are dealing with and where it is going.'' Sgt. Dale said those who receive calls requesting their credit card number and/or are in any doubt should call the Fraud Squad at 299-4330 for advice.
