Crown given two more weeks in drugs case

Centre after Senior Magistrate William Francis granted the Attorney General two more weeks to prepare charges .
Arrested five weeks ago on charges of importation, possession, and handling $70,000 in cannabis, Gregory Ryan Ashby was granted bail on February 24 but has not been able to post the $20,000 bond.
Over defence objections yesterday Mr. Francis maintained the bail and gave the Crown two more weeks to gather Police statements and evidence.
Ashby is due back in Court on May 5.
