robbery early yesterday morning when they were attacked by four men wielding sticks.

Police reported that shortly after 4 a.m. the two crew members were walking down Sapper Lane in St. George's when the men approached them.

The assailants, one of whom may have been carrying a gun, demanded money and after handing over a quantity of cash the victims escaped uninjured.

Enquiries into the incident are continuing.

Police were bombarded by bottles and missiles on Monday night after warning a group of 20 youths about their noise and behaviour.

The incident occurred around 9 p.m. on Scott's Hill in Sandys Parish near the West End Primary School. It resulted in the arrest of a 17-year-old Sandys man.

Enquiries into the incident are continuing.

KBB'S CLEAN-UP SET FOR SEPTEMBER ENV KBB's Clean-Up set for September The Annual Keep Bermuda Beautiful Clean-Up is being revamped to get a better handle on the Island's litter problem.

The clean-up, which will focus on illegal dumping -- will be done over three Saturdays instead on one, said KBB president Ms Kendaree Burgess Fairn.

"The event kicks off on September 23 and it will be done in three phases.

Beginning in the eastern parishes, the clean-up will move to the western parishes on September 30 and on October 7 volunteers will tackle the central parishes,'' she said.

She added that the initial clean-up will also include a contingent of divers who will clear the shorelines and waters at key locations around the Island.

Despite concern about illegal dumping, Ms Burgess Fairn also said Bermudians seemed to be more aware of why they should not litter and the consequences if they do.

BIKE RIDER'S BAG SNATCHED CRM Bike rider's bag snatched A 35-year-old female visitor had her handbag ripped from her shoulder on Monday night as she was riding on the back of an auxiliary cycle in Paget.

Police reported that the woman said a rider came alongside the bike on South Road and snatched her canvas bag.

The culprit is described as a brown skinned male with dreadlocks who turned onto Mission Road after the incident. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to contact Central CID at 295-0011.

BMA RELEASES ANNIVERSARY COIN GVT BMA releases anniversary coin The Bermuda Monetary Authority recently released a commemorative coin in celebration of Bermuda's 375th anniversary of Parliamentary Government.

The silver proof pied fort coin, released on August 1, was made at double thickness to ordinary coins in circulation and depicted the Parliament Building on its reverse side.

The words "Anniversary Bermuda Parliament'' and its dates "1620-1995'' are included around the perimeter of the coin.

The obverse of each coin features a portrait of the Queen, with the $5 denominational value of the coin written underneath.

The coin has been fixed to sell at $100, and a total of 375 coins have been minted and will be available from coin dealers in Bermuda.

CAB GOES OVER EMBANKMENT FIR Cab goes over embankment The Bermuda Fire Service went to the aid of a taxi at 11.15 p.m. on Monday after it went over an embankment and slid down a hill at Friswell's Hill in Devonshire.

Three units were dispatched from Hamilton Fire Station with a total of 10 personnel on board.

There were no injuries and Fire Services watched over the vehicle until a "cherry-picker'' uprighted it.

Approximately $200 worth of damage was caused to the taxi's rear bumper.
