service.

Edward Burch, of Tumkins Lane, pleaded guilty in Magistrates' Court on June 17 to stealing two cycles. He also admitted to stealing a rain coat and golf shoes.

But sentencing was delayed until a social inquiry report was prepared.

The first cycle was stolen from the cycle bays at the Southampton Princess and the second cycle was stolen from outside a residence at Riddell's Bay, Warwick.

On May 16, Police officers saw Burch and another man riding the cycles at Tamarind Vale, Warwick. Inquiries revealed that the cycles were stolen, and Burch was arrested.

"Bike theft is a serious offence,'' said Magistrate Archibald Warner. "This is an opportunity to pull your socks up and walk along a straighter arrow.''
