Cyclist victim of machete attack
Monday night.
A Police spokeswoman reported that the man was riding his cycle west along South Road in Smith's Parish at about 11.50 p.m. when two men on a motorcycle rode up alongside him.
The pair pulled out machetes and forced him to stop. They then proceeded to remove his jewellery and fled the scene.
The alleged robbers are described as being of medium build, 5ft 6in with dark brown skin, moustaches and beards. They had on dark clothing and helmets.

A Police spokeswoman yesterday said Police went to a Horseshoe Road, Southampton home at about 3 a.m. after a mother was awakened by the sound of her daughter screaming.
The mother said as she ran to her daughter she saw a man run out the front door of their home.
The daughter said she awakened to see the man committing an indecent act in front of her which was why she screamed.
COUNTERFEIT NOTES ALERT CRM Counterfeit notes alert Police officers have issued a second appeal to the public, asking them to be on the watch out for counterfeit US $100 notes.
A counterfeit note was successfully passed at a cycle shop in Hamilton yesterday afternoon.
