Virginia yesterday, and forecasters believe it will turn back on its path.
The former hurricane is not a threat to the Island and is believed to be past its closest point of approach.
Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Cindy has moved beyond Bermuda and is now extra-tropical in nature as it speeds eastward accross the North Atlantic.
Last night, Dennis was moving west at three knots some 493 nautical miles west northwest of the Island.
Dennis' winds were clocked at 50 knots with gusts to 60 knots.
The long range forecast places Dennis due west of Bermuda on Saturday and very close to its former track along the US eastern seaboard.
