they admitted keeping unlicensed dogs.

Artist Sam Morse-Brown and his wife, Elizabeth, pleaded guilty in Magistrates' Court to six counts of keeping an unlicensed dog and one count of keeping more than two dogs without permission.

The charges stem from an incident last summer.

Police and Government officials seized nine dogs, including a three-legged mixed-breed named Tripod, on August 4 last year, from the Morse-Browns' Animal Green Cross Search and Rescue on Hinson Island after receiving reports that the couple were neglecting the dogs and violating the Dogs Act.

The couple had denied the charges and yesterday in Magistrates' Court Crown counsel Ms Nita Grewall offered no evidence on the neglect charges.

However, the Morse-Browns did admit to keeping unlicensed dogs and more than two dogs without permission.
