The 11-year-old dolphin gave birth to its second calf on Tuesday, and both are said to be doing well in the Keep at the Maritime Museum at Dockyard.
Staff at the centre will monitor the unnamed calf's progress around the clock as Bailey nurses it for the first 18 months of its life. Michelle Hammond, director of animal management at Dolphin Quest, said: "This is the second time that Bailey has given birth in Bermuda and it is very exciting for us.
All of the other animals seem to be fascinated about the newest family member to Dolphin Quest Bermuda.'' The animals are being kept at the museum whilst the facility at the Southampton Princess is refurbished following the damage caused by Hurricane Gert.
