Andre K. Hypolite of St. John's Road was stopped by a Police patrol along Palmetto Road in Devonshire on November 11. The officers had planned to advise Hypolite about the bike's dim rear light, but he was recognised as a disqualified driver. The court heard that Hypolite has served two three-month prison sentences for previous traffic convictions.

Calling Hypolite's record "terrible'', Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis fined him $450, disqualified him from driving all motor vehicles until the year 2004, and added a three-month prison sentence, suspended for two years.
