$350 and disqualified from driving for a year yesterday.
Stephen E. Smith of Sofar Lane pleaded guilty in Magistrates' Court to the charge of driving under the influence of alcohol on June 29.
Sgt. Wilbert McLean, prosecuting, told Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis that Smith was spotted at 7.15 p.m. trying to start his motorcycle in Customs Square in St. George's.
"He almost fell over with his cycle,'' Sgt. McLean said. "Police followed him onto Duke of York Street and signalled him to pull over.
"After telling Police to let him park his bike, Smith told them that he was a British Army Officer.'' Sgt. McLean said Smith, who was not in the British Army, had glazed eyes and was unsteady on his feet.
