sold at auction because the mortgage has been foreclosed.

Mr. Hall is currently in the midst of a bankruptcy proceeding and his home situated at 42 Mount Hill, Pembroke will be sold at auction on February 12.

When contacted Mr. Hall said:"Yes it's being sold and I hope it sells for a good price.

"I don't really want to comment at all on that whole (bankruptcy) action. It is an intensely personal and private matter which is being resolved by my legal advisers. It will be resolved in the end I suspect, but it is not something that I want to discuss.'' A writ has already been filed under the Bankruptcy Act against Mr. Hall. It is understood that it was a move by Paul Hubbard and John Boden, who recently won a lawsuit against Mr. Hall in Bermuda's Supreme Court for $1.6 million, to have Mr. Hall declared bankrupt.

Mr. Hubbard declined to comment on the matter yesterday. Mr. Hubbard's and Mr.

Boden's victorious case involved Betty McMahon, the widow of Canadian millionaire Frank McMahon, who died in 1986 at the age of 83 in his Harbour Road, Paget home. They won the lawsuit against Mr. Hall while acting "as next friends'' of Mrs. McMahon. Mr. Hall was ordered to pay the full amount filed in the writ -- $1,609,740.63 -- plus simple interest at seven percent by Chief Justice Austin Ward.

Accountants Mr. Hubbard and Mr. Boden are believed to be receivers for the McMahon estate.
