Tributes were paid to a family man with "green fingers'' who died following a road accident.

The family of Kenneth McDonald (Bobby) Dunkley Jr. said he was a man who lived for his family and the outdoors, in particular his hobby and job, gardening.

Kathy Trott, his sister, said: "He loved planting flowers in his backyard.

Whatever he put in the ground, came up.'' Mr. Dunkley died in hospital from injuries sustained during an accident, involving his bike and a jeep, on Court Street in the early hours of Saturday.

The 52 year old lived on King Street. He was married to Whillimae for 27 years.

Ms. Trott said her brother, who was one of ten children, had worked in the motor trade on car bodywork for many years.

But more recently he had moved onto his first love, gardening, and worked with his father Kenneth Dunkley as a landscape gardener.

"He loved to do bodywork on cars, that was his trade, then he started to do landscaping,'' she said.

His other hobby was cooking and he doted upon his nieces, nephews and god child, she said.

Mr. Dunkley also had a favourite dog, Shocker, a Rottweiler.
