involving the New Zealand Rugby Classic squad, it was revealed yesterday.

Police officers were called to the Docksider bar on Front Street around 2 a.m.

on Sunday after staff called for assistance.

Pub bosses stepped in to calm the situation after fists flew in the upstairs bar where the Mike Tyson-Evander Holyfield fight was shown before Police arrived.

It is understood a shouting match started after one of the New Zealand squad accidentally bumped into a Bermudian fight fan -- and the row escalated into a fight.

A spokesman for the bar said: "The New Zealand guys were just minding their own business and watching the fight.

"We got it under control in here very quickly -- but after we asked some people to leave they just started fighting each other and fighting the Police.

"The New Zealand team were out of it by then and had nothing to do with what happened outside.'' He added: "The Police were very good about it and handled the whole situation very well.'' A Police spokeswoman confirmed yesterday that 18-year-old Pembroke man was arrested outside Docksiders for using offensive language.

When cautioned by Police, he refused to stop swearing and resisted Police attempts to arrest him.

A friend -- a 25-year-old Devonshire man -- then got involved and was arrested for obstructing the Police and struggling with them.

The two men -- who have not been named by Police -- were both taken to Hamilton Police Station and are expected to appear in court in the near future.
