unlawfully damaging a taxi on December 14 last year.

The 24-year-old, who resides on Spring Hill, Warwick, was released on $500 bail and will return to court on January 15 for mention.

He was also fined $230 for speeding at 61 kilometres per hour and $100 for driving without a valid driver's licence on October 25.

TEENAGER BAILED CTS Teenager bailed A Smith's Parish teenager was this week bailed at Magistrates' Court on a charge of breaking and entering.

Michael Raynor, 16, of Broken Hill Road, pleaded guilty to entering the house of Milton Richardson on November 11 and stealing $300.

Prosecutor Sgt. Peter Giles told the court that Raynor had entered the house while Mr. Richardson was out.

He said Mr. Richardson had secured the entire house, apart from the bathroom window, which he had left open.

When Mr. Richardson returned he found that the toiletries on the window sill had been disturbed and that US$300 were missing from the bedroom.

The prosecutor added that Raynor had used the money to buy marijuana and clothes.

Sgt. Giles also told of how the youth had stolen a pair of $80 sneakers from Sports 'R' Us while on Police bail for this offence.

He described how three young persons, including Raynor, had entered the shop on November 15. Sgt. Giles said they tried on a pair of shoes and left without paying for them. A surveillance camera caught them on video. In September, Raynor had been in court on a charge of stealing $150. The teenager, however, was not sentenced because the magistrate was waiting for an social inquiry report.

Senior Magistrate Will Francis ordered Raynor to return to court on February 11 for sentencing on all three offences.

Having heard that Raynor had failed to attend appointments at Probation Services, Mr. Francis set bail for Raynor at $500 with a like surety.

MAN RELEASED ON BAIL CTS Man released on bail An 18-year-old Devonshire man was released on bail only a week after Magistrate Edward King sentenced him to a period of corrective training.

Jerkeyo Berkeley's lawyer Elizabeth Christopher told Magistrate Arthur Hodgson that she would be appealing the conviction passed down on December 17.

She asked that Berkeley, of Alexandra Road, be released on bail until the appeal was made and said he was willing to work and abide by a curfew as a condition of his bail.

Ms Christopher also requested that Berkeley be psychologically assessed. Mr.

Hodgson released Berkeley on $1,000 bail with a like surety, setting a 8 p.m.

to 6 a.m. curfew and stipulating that he had to find a job.

He also agreed that a psychological assessment of Berkeley should be prepared.

TEENAGER FINED $400 CTS Teenager fined $400 A Pembroke teenager who drove while impaired was this week fined $400 and banned from driving all motor vehicles for a year.

Seventeen-year-old Kahli Curtis, of Crisson Avenue, pleaded guilty in Magistrates' Court to the offence.

Police prosecutor Sgt. Phil Taylor said Curtis was stopped by Police on the morning of November 7. Police observed Curtis as he lost control of his cycle and fell into the road.

And then they watched as Curtis got back on to the bike and continued swerving along Dundonald Street. He was stopped outside of Mount St. Agnes Academy.

Curtis was taken to the Hamilton Police Station where a breathalyser test showed that he had at least 167 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.

The legal limit is 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.
