disappeared while celebrating his 25th birthday.

Mr. Malcolm (Cricket) Augustus of North Shore Road was last seen at the Swinging Doors night club on Court Street late on Saturday night.

While several people saw him there, "nobody saw him leave,'' said his mother, Mrs. Melva Paynter, who described the family as "frantic''.

She said the disappearance was completely out of character for her son, who she described as a homebody.

"The only time you would get him to go out is once in a blue moon,'' Mrs.

Paynter told The Royal Gazette . Because it was his birthday, "he decided to go out on Saturday night and have a nice time.'' Mr. Augustus and his common-law wife, Ms Keisha Trott, 20, have two young sons: Keishaun, 1, and Quayshaun, 2.

He works as a truck driver and merchandiser for John Barritt & Son Ltd. "It's very much out of character,'' said Ms Trott. "He would have been home a long time ago.'' She was afraid he might have fallen somewhere and struck his head. Police are asking for help from the public.

Mr. Augustus was last seen wearing light blue denim jeans, a white T-shirt, and a jacket.

He is described as 5 feet, 11 inches tall, 210 pounds and dark-skinned with a goatee beard.
