The offender apparently entered the salon between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. on December 30 to have her hair groomed, telling the stylist that she would have to wait for an associate to bring the money for payment.

She then left the building and did not return. The theft was subsequently reported to the Police who are investigating the incident.

RESIDENT REPORTS JEWELLERY THEFTS CRM Resident reports jewellery thefts Someone entered the residence of a Hamilton Parish woman and stole a significant amount of jewellery.

The incident apparently took place sometime on Sunday evening when the complainant left her residence in Sandy Lane for a couple of hours.

She returned to find several pieces of jewellery, including a gold watch, wedding band and diamond ring, missing from her bedroom. The intruder also removed a Sony Walkman.

The theft was reported on Monday to the Police and Eastern CID is investigating.

PERSONAL ITEMS STOLEN FROM SCOOTER CRM Personal items stolen from scooter A couple learned that parking their cycle in front of the Pickled Onion restaurant on Front Street overnight was not a good idea.

The couple had parked and secured the bike with an Olympus camera and Abercrombie sweatshirt in the compartment on Monday night.

When they returned to the bike around 1 p.m., the following afternoon, they found the items were missing.

Police are investigating the matter.

ST. GEORGE'S MAN IN DRUGS BUST CRM St. George's man in drugs bust A St. George's man was taken into custody on Tuesday afternoon after a search of his car found a clear plastic bag containing plant-like material.

The 28-year-old man was on Turkey Hill in St. George's when he was stopped by narcotics officers.

Officers searched the car under the Misuse of Drugs Act and found a clear plastic twist laying on the rear passenger side floor.

As a result of the search the man was arrested and taken to St. George's Police Station.

LAUNDRY REPORTS THEFT OF PUMP CRM Laundry reports theft of pump Old Doc's Laundry was forced to stop the suds when their water pump equipment was stolen in late December.

At some time between December 22 and 23, the pump equipment was removed from the Southampton premises from the insecure pump room.

Police have no suspects at this time.
