The money raised in Bermuda will be used to assist persons made homeless after a volcanic eruption wreaked havoc on the Caribbean nation.

Part of the money will go to build a 50-bed home for the elderly in the northern part of the island.

Donations can be made to the following accounts at the local banks: Bank of Bermuda 1001-444517, Bank of Butterfield 006-060-663859-100 and the Bermuda Commercial Bank 018-01-00688.

Persons can also mail their donations to the Bermuda Red Cross c/o the Montserrat Volcano Appeal, Charleswood, 9 Berry Hill Road Paget DV 03.
