after the court found he owed more than $2,000 in unpaid fines.

Sean Allen, 37, of Cedar Park, Devonshire had pleaded guilty to having a ceramic tile with traces of heroin and a razor with traces of cocaine. Police had arrested him in Sandys on November 15 last year and taken him to Somerset police station where the drugs equipment was found in his jacket.

Allen told Magistrate Ed King that he had borrowed a colleague's jacket for a lunchtime ride without knowing what was in it.

However, Mr. King said he didn't believe him.

Allen then apologised for his actions. He said: "I am trying to clean up my life.

"I have two young children and I am trying to lead by example. This is no example to be following.'' It was then discovered that Allen owed $2,610 in unpaid fines.

And a Smith's man has been fined a total of $500 after pleading guilty to two counts of possessing drug equipment.

Randall Thomas Darrell, 51, of South Road, was picked up by Police on August 29 last year in Club Road after they noticed he was acting suspiciously.

A search of Darrell's hip bag revealed a small glass bottle and a plastic tube with a hole drilled in the side.

Tests later revealed traces of crack on the equipment.
