(UBP) holds its annual Good Friday festival this week.

Weather permitting, about 7,000 people are expected to pour onto Horseshoe Bay Beach for the annual Easter event, which has people dancing on the sand.

The Good Friday Kite Festival will kick off at 11 a.m. with a blessing, and then live entertainment will follow from 11.15 a.m.

Children's games will begin at 11.45 a.m. and the kite competition will be held at 12.15 p.m.

After that there will be a tug o'war contest, live entertainment from local entertainers, and an appearance from the Warwick Gombeys.

Among the entertainers, which are being provided by Spanish Town International, will be the Coca Cola Steel Pan Band, Sweet Girls, Prestige, Jamba, Jahstice, Last Rights, and MC Tee.

PLAME DIVERTED FLY HTH Plane diverted The Bermuda International Airport was a flurry of activity yesterday morning when a TWA flight diverted to discharge an ailing passenger.

The 55-year-old man was suspected of having a heart attack on board TWA flight 104 from Boston to San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The aircraft was diverted to Bermuda and arrived approximately 11.30 in the morning with 174 passengers embarked.

King Edward VII Memorial Hospital officials said the man was discharged around 4.30 yesterday afternoon.

At about the same time the TWA flight landed, American Airlines flight 1440 arrived -- more than 12 hours late after bad weather forced the airline to reschedule the New York to Bermuda route.

WITNESSES SOUGHT CRM Witnesses sought Police are renewing an appeal for people with information relating to the robbery of a visitor at Astwood Cove on Friday.

The woman was in the vicinity of the cliffs when the incident occurred and ran toward the parking lot.

The thief made off with the victim's purse containing cash and other personal items. She was not harmed in the attack.

BUILDING SITES RAIDED CRM Building sites raided Thieves made off with an electric generator and roof slate from two different construction sites this week.

Overnight Sunday, a thief broke into a construction site on Honey Hill in Paget and removed a five kilowatt generator.

On Monday afternoon, a thief stole roof slate from a construction site on Sound View Road in Sandys.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed these incidents to contact them.
