Residents in St. George's, Hamilton Parish, Smith's, Pembroke and Devonshire -- except for Tee Street and Kent Avenue -- will have their garbage and recyclables collected on Saturday.

Residents must place their garbage out for collection by 7.30 a.m.

The Tynes Bay public drop off facility will be open as usual from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The Ministry is appealing to campers to keep the Island's beaches and parks tidy over the holiday.

CUP MATCH DRIVING WARNING TFC Cup Match driving warning Police have advised motorists to drive carefully over the Cup Match holiday in an attempt to reduce the possibility of accidents.

A Police media spokesperson said Traffic Enforcement Unit motorcycles would be carrying out frequent patrols during peak traffic periods and be paying particular attention to speeding vehicles and vehicles travelling too close behind one another.

And she said "strict observation'' would be kept on drivers suspected of driving while impaired.

The spokesperson also advised that parking would be available at the Royal Naval Field, the Sandys Middle and West End Primary Schools and the MarketPlace.

Cricket Lane will be blocked off at each end by barriers and a cycle parking area will be made on Broome Street.

Governor Thorold Masefield and his party will be attending Somerset Cricket Club at approximately 9.45 a.m. on Thursday and in the afternoon on Friday, subject to the run of play.

Crown and Anchor tables will be set up within the Somerset Cricket Club grounds for operation between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m.

The Police Emergency Command Vehicle will act as a temporary Police Station and will be positioned inside the cricket club's grounds.

A St. John's Ambulance First Aid Post will be set up adjacent to the Police Emergency Command Vehicle.
