The incident occurred at 4.25 p.m. on Thursday.

The woman's husband was stabbed in the hand when he walked into the house during the attack and tried to stop the man.

Yesterday, Police spokeswoman Insp. Roseanda Jones said a team of detectives, including additional uniformed officers, were still searching for the suspect and the weapon used in the attack.

The suspect was described as about 5 feet 10 inches tall, about 180 pounds, with a very dark brown, smooth complexion, and in his late 20s or early 30s.

At the time of the offence, he was wearing a black T-shirt with a white star to the front, and long black jeans.

Anyone who may have seen someone fitting the above description yesterday, particularly between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m., around the Bostock Hill, Middle Road, Paget, area is asked to contact Det. Insp.
