Jefferey Robinson Hill, 37, of Bostock Hill, Paget pleaded guilty in Magistrates' Court yesterday to impaired driving on September 12.

Crown counsel Veronica Daley said Police stopped Hill, who was travelling in the wrong direction down Lane Hill, Pembroke -- a one-way street, around 2.10 a.m.

Upon questioning him Police noticed that his breath smelled of intoxicants.

A breath analysis revealed an alcohol count of 177 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. The legal limit is 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.

Hill was taken to Hamilton Police Station.
