The Casemates prisoner, whom she had been dating six years, was working on a building site.

She was allowed in the museum after showing a 30-minute prison pass at the ticket office.

The man in the office would tell her: "OK you've got half an hour here.'' The woman said she would go with the prisoner into the tunnel at the back of the exhibition buildings and the lagoon.

In a statement to Police she said: "This tunnel is very dark as you enter it.

As you walk in further, you have to make a right turn.

"Once you turn the corner the tunnel gets lighter from the small windows in the wall allowing light to come in.

"The end of this tunnel leads out to the parking lot outside of the Museum, but it is boarded up preventing you from going out that end.'' She had gone three times to the museum to visit her boyfriend, who was serving a four and a half year sentence.

On one occasion in March last year, she said she went with him into the Commissioner's House at the museum.

"We went into the house by climbing over the balcony with the iron railing.

"This side of the balcony faces out toward the sea. We walked along the verandah, turned the corner at the end and walked further down until we reached a door leading to the room with the weights inside.

"This door overlooks the courtyard to the Museum.'' The woman said both times she had sex with her boyfriend it was in the tunnel.

When she had been at the museum she had only seen a couple of other prisoners.

She told Police she did not know who they were. Her boyfriend never spoke to her about them.

The last time she saw her boyfriend was on April 16 -- the day after the killing.

He came to visit her at her home to deliver a kite for her son.

"He only stayed about five minutes because he said his boss was outside waiting for him. So he gave me a kiss and left.''
