of sexual assault against two young girls for trial at the Supreme Court.

A preliminary case was held at the Magistrates' Court over three days to see if there was enough evidence to send the man, who cannot be identified, for trial.

The case signaled a ground-breaking move as it was the first time children had been allowed to testify in the court. The girls, aged six and seven, were shielded from the gallery by a specially erected screen.

On Thursday, the Wor. Edward King said there was not enough evidence to send the man for trial on the two charges of sexual assault.

Afterwards a spokesman for Police Prosecutions said a meeting would be held with the Attorney General to see what action could be taken now.

The Royal Gazette is also considering what action to take after Mr. King barred reporters from the inquiry earlier this week.
