Over ten operators have expressed an interest in the site and the Bermuda Land Development Company is hoping to negotiate with one or more to find a suitable function.

BLDC spokesman Don Grearson said there had been no official bids for the building by the time the tender date passed.

But he added that over ten people or indviduals had expressed an interest in the site.

"We want to talk to them with a view to getting an operator or operators in there,'' he said.

"We recognise it is a large building and we remain open to ideas to bring it into use.'' He said events had been held there during the last year and most had proved to be successful, adding that they would work with those interested to revitalise the premises.
