Warwick after reports of a confrontation with a shoplifter.

It is believed the shoplifter pulled a knife at the store, though Police reports were incomplete at press time.

The incident occurred around 7.30 p.m. Staff at the store verified Police were called in after a confrontation.

"Somebody was just acting up; nothing serious, just a regular kind of disturbance,'' store manager Bill Moniz told The Royal Gazette .

Police are also investigating two break-ins in the Pembroke and Flatt's area.

The home of a 67-year-old Inland Lane, Pembroke resident was broken into sometime between 1 and 3 a.m. on Thursday.

A brown suede ladies shoulder bag, containing credit cards, cash and personal items was taken.

And sometime on Wednesday night a culprit entered a Palmetto Bay guestroom and stole an American visitor's wallet, which contained cash, credit cards and personal items.

Police spokesperson Evelyn James Barnett said a description of a possible suspect was supplied by a witness.

He was described as a dark-skinned bearded man, of slim build, between five-feet-nine-inches and five-feet-ten-inches tall.

The man was wearing light-coloured pants, a jacket and a cap.
