A story in last Saturday's paper incorrectly reported that CedarBridge student and Visitor Industry Partnership's youngest ambassador Leslie Swan sets up a booth during the weekend to welcome arriving visitors at the airport. It might be pouring with rain outside, it could be blowing a gale, but visitors arriving in Bermuda are guaranteed a warm welcome thanks to the hard work of a dedicated teenager.

CedarBridge student Leslie Swan, 15, has become the Visitor Industry Partnership's youngest ambassador greeting visitors as they step off the plane at Bermuda International Airport.

Leslie, who hopes to work in the tourism industry when he finishes college, sets up a stall at the airport every weekend and is on hand to help guests fill out forms and answer any general inquiries they might have. He also gives out a specially written letter of welcome.

"I really like meeting tourists and talking to them so I thought this would be a good idea,'' Leslie said.

"And I think they really appreciate having somebody here to help them if they have any questions. They are always really friendly and thank me.

"Tourism is such an important industry in Bermuda but we must realise that we all have to work at it if it is going to be successful.''
