An advertisement in the Official Gazette on Friday ruled out any kind of a fast food establishment and said any ancillary sales proposals would not be considered.

The single-storey three-bedroom apartment comprises a floor area of 2,500 square feet and is to be let initially for a period of five years.

The Ministry is proposing the successful tender convert it into a tea room and one bedroom apartment.

The advertisement noted that as "one of Bermuda's premier tourist facilities'', the lighthouse attracted 70,000 visitors a year.

It also said the keeper's apartment was a historic structure and provided "magnificent panoramic views''.

Application forms can be picked up at the Ministry of Works and Engineering.

The closing date for proposals is November 27.

When contacted, Works and Engineering Minister the Hon. Clarence Terceira said he was unaware the advertisement had been placed.
