plans to offer a Professional Study Programme in Bermuda.

The programme will give individuals the opportunity to become a Certified General Accountant without having to travel abroad.

The CGA will be using the facilities of the Bermuda College -- where foundation level courses in accounting were already offered -- to hold the programme.

CGA Bermuda president Kevin Taylor said: "We've been offering both the Foundation Level and Professional Level programmes through distance learning, and have welcomed certified CGAs into our Association.'' "Working with the Bermuda College opens a new chapter in our development, and will enable Bermudians to work toward earning a professional degree on the Island, while continuing with their careers,'' Mr. Taylor explained The programme will begin in September, although enrolment for the first semester course must be completed by August 1.
