Lost and found in downtown London

Venice and Wales. While we were in London, we visited a downtown area called the Picadilly Circus. It was there when I got lost. It happened so fast. I stopped to look at toy cars in the window of a store that sold collectible cars. When I looked up to show my parents, they were not there. At first I was scared, because I was alone. I went back to the last store we were in, but I did not see my parents. Then I remembered my dad saying he wanted to show me the large Sega Arcade. I could see it across the street. Maybe they went in there. It was nice. I played a few games and bought hot wheels cars, Sega games and Nike shoes. Next, I looked everywhere. I checked shops that I thought my mom would like and I checked stores that I thought my dad would like. There were so many people walking around. London was busy like New York.

I went back to the arcade and played some more games. After playing the games, I began to feel hungry. There were so many choices. This arcade had Friday's, KFC, and McDonald's. I ate some chicken nuggets and fries at McDonald's. When I finished, I remembered to keep looking for my parents. As I came outside of the arcade I bumped into my mom. I was so happy to see her. My dad came later and we continued shopping. Even though I felt safe in London, I will always try not to get lost again. Now, if I stop to look at things, I make sure that my parents know I am stopping. It was not until I was found when I realised how serious being lost can be. Imagine if someone had kidnapped me. That would be another story and adventure. Justin Graham Age: 10 West Pembroke Primary School PHOTO LONDON LANDMARK -- Try not to lose your head if you're ever lost in London
