charges involving the theft of $506,000.

Madeiros is accused of stealing the cash from Boyd Davis between April 28, 1987, and November 24, 1989.

He is also charged with the fraudulent disposal of trust property.

This alleges that, while a trustee, he tried to convert the money to his own use without authority Madeiros, who is free on bail, has pleaded not guilty to both charges.

He was represented at yesterday's monthly arraignment session by Mr. Richard Hector.

Also yesterday a 24-year-old Warwick man pleaded not guilty to assault with intent to rob.

Heman Ledrew Viera, of Khyber Pass, who is charged with assaulting Jose Regalo, will be tried next month. The alleged incident occurred in Pembroke on October 5 last year.

Viera was represented yesterday by Mr. Timothy Marshall. A June 2 trial date was fixed, and Viera was remanded in custody.

Anthony Webster Swan, who faces four counts of breaking and entering, was also remanded in custody. His trial is set for May 13.

Roland Wilkinson, who is on bail and is charged with stealing $23,781.31 from Gorhams Ltd., failed to turn up yesterday. An arrest warrant was issued.
