Morris Michael Botelho, 31, of 31 Cherry Dale, Knapton Hill, Smith's, pleaded not guilty to stealing $3,164.84 from Holmes Williams & Purvey Suzuki Centre on November 25.

He also denied stealing $2,960 from the same place on December 2.

Senior Magistrate Will Francis said Botelho faced a total of 31 charges of stealing between $60,000 to $70,000 from Holmes Williams & Purvey Suzuki Centre, but time did not permit him to read them out.

He granted Botelho bail in the sum of $5,000 with a like surety.

Botelho will return to court on January 26 for mention.

MAN WAS OFFENSIVE AT CHRISTMAS CTS Man was offensive at Christmas A 19-year-old air conditioning engineer yesterday pleaded guilty to violently resisting arrest and using offensive words on Christmas Day.

Senior Magistrate Will Francis heard that Kaya Robinson of Raynor's Drive, Southampton, was involved in an altercation outside the Oasis Nightclub at 12.15 a.m. that day.

Police became involved and Robinson cursed at two officers who tried to restrain him.

Police prosecutor Sgt. Donald Grant said Robinson told the officers: "I'm going to shoot you'', as he pointed his finger in the form of a gun.

Mr. Francis fined Robinson $200 for offensive words and $250 for resisting arrest.

GUILTY OF ASSAULT, DRUG EQUIPMENT CTS Guilty of assault, drug equipment A Southampton woman yesterday admitted assaulting a Police officer and possessing drug equipment.

Tasha Ulrika Dillas, 28, of Horseshoe Road, Southampton pleaded guilty in Magistrates' Court to the two charges which stemmed from a search at Hamilton Police Station.

While in custody on another matter, the court heard that Dillas was searched and a homemade crack pipe was found on her. She admitted to smoking crack.

Police prosecutor Sgt. Donald Grant said Dillas became involved in a struggle with a female officer who she head butted and kicked.

Sgt. Grant said Dillas also told the officer: "Now you have something to hold me for.'' Upon hearing this, Senior Magistrate Will Francis fined Dillas $250 for the assault offence and $150 for possessing drug equipment.

REPORT ORDERED FOR FRAUD WOMAN CTS Report ordered for fraud woman Senior Magistrate Will Francis ordered a social inquiry report on a 25-year-old mother who admitted to cheque fraud.

Mr. Francis heard that Shelly Wilson, of Mount Hill, Pembroke, flagged down 73-year-old Daniel Smith in his car on Front Street for a ride on January 9.

But when she arrived at Rockville Lane Pembroke she took Mr. Smith's bank bag containing cheques and other personal items.

Wilson was stopped by Police on another matter the next day and she could not account for the bag's ownership.

She was charged with various counts of forging and uttering stolen cheques to the amount of $755. She told Police she used the money to finance a drug habit.

Mr. Francis granted Wilson bail in the sum of $500 with a like surety. She will return to court on February 16 for sentencing.

DRUNK DRIVER BANNED FOR A YEAR CTS Drunk driver banned for a year A 33-year-old man yesterday received a $450 fine and a one-year driving ban after he admitted to driving while impaired.

Magistrates' Court heard that Craig Joyiens, of Long Bay Lane, Sandys, was stopped in the early hours of December 19 while driving a silver Ford Laser on another matter.

Police noted that his eyes were glazed and he was unsteady on his feet.

Joyiens admitted to drinking two beers. And a subsequent test showed that he had at least 188 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood. The legal limit is 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.

FINED FOR POSSESSING CANNABIS CTS Fined for possessing cannabis Possessing .84 grams of cannabis cost a St.

George's man $250 yesterday.

Rudell Pitcher, 20, of Wellington Slip Road appeared in Magistrates' Court for the charge which stemmed from an incident on April 30, last year.

Police prosecutor Sgt. Donald Grant said Pitcher was arrested at 8.45 p.m. on another matter and when searched a small plastic bag containing a plant substance was found in his pants pocket.

Pitcher told the officers: "Give me back my spliff''.

The bag was subsequently found to contain .84 grams of cannabis.
