The man, who is also 23 and from Pembroke, denied causing the woman bodily harm on June 23, depriving her of her personal liberty from June 23 to June 27, causing the woman grievous bodily harm and sexually assaulting her on August 15.

He was remanded in custody until August 28 when bail applications will be made.
