$400 last week after he pleaded guilty to the charges in Magistrates' Court.

Prosecutor Sgt. Phil Taylor said on Tuesday that Steven E. Smith, 51, of Sofar Lane, entered St. George's Police Station at 3.10 a.m. on May 25 and began shouting at a Parish constable.

When Police asked him to leave he said: "What the f*** has Coxall done for this Island?'' An officer cautioned Smith about his language and again asked him to leave.

Sgt. Taylor said Smith still refused and stated: "F*** you, all you f***ing St. George's Police are selling drugs to little black boys.'' After failing to leave he was arrested and charged with failing to leave a public place and using offensive words at which time he said:" I didn't curse at you.'' When Senior Magistrate Will Francis asked Smith if he had anything to say, Smith repeated the answer he gave at the Police Station.

"I never sweared at him, sir,'' he said. "But I'm pleading guilty.'' Mr. Francis ordered Smith to pay a $200 for failing to leave the Police Station and another $200 for using offensive words.
