Police found 0.7 grams of cannabis and 6.7 grams of cocaine when they searched Michael Ruben DeSilva after picking him up on Happy Valley Road.

He pleaded guilty to both charges and told Senior Magistrate Archibald Warner that he was turning his life around.

DeSilva, of Wentworth Lane, is currently serving a nine-month sentence on a wounding charge.

He was fined $600 for possession of cocaine and $300 for possession of cannabis.
