Ross N. Parsons, of Railway Trail, pleaded guilty to supplying cannabis, possessing cannabis and possessing equipment -- namely three packs of cigarette papers and some envelopes -- for the use of drugs.

Prosecutor Sgt. Kenrick James said narcotics officers on patrol in Warwick on July 13 saw Parsons in a taxi and stopped and searched him. They found cannabis on him.

Parsons told Police the drugs were for his personal use.

Later Police searched a Pembroke home and found 1.25 grams of cannabis. They also found 33 envelopes and three packs of cigarette papers at Parsons' home.

Parsons said: "I'm going to be straight up with you guys. I had the envelopes to sell weed and the papers to smoke it.'' Magistrate the Wor. Edward King fined Parson $250 for supplying cannabis, $100 for possessing the drug and $100 for possessing the cigarette papers and envelopes.
