Lamont A. Stone, of Morgan's Road, pleaded guilty in Magistrates' Court yesterday to possessing cannabis intended for supply and a pack of cigarette papers intended for drug use.

Insp. Peter Duffy. prosecuting, told the court that Police were patrolling North Shore Road in Hamilton Parish last December when they saw Stone standing near a pay phone.

"Police spotted a helmet across the road with a plastic bag in it,' he said.

"They went to search it and found that inside the plastic bag was another plastic bag containing 51 envelopes of cannabis and a package of cigarette papers.

"Police questioned Stone and he denied having any knowledge about the contents of the helmet,'' Insp. Duffy said. "With that he flagged down a black car and left.'' Insp. Duffy added that on December 12 at 1 p.m. Stone was arrested. While at the Police Station, Stone said that the cannabis had been stolen from St.

George's. He also said he had found the bag and put it in the helmet.

Insp. Duffy said that the street value of the cannabis was $1,275. Mr. Philip Perinchief, for Stone, requested that Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis order a social inquiry report.

Mr. Francis agreed and extended Stone's bail until the reading of the social inquiry report on August 10.
