Keith Peniston, of Long Range Hill, pleaded guilty to the charge in Magistrates' Court.

Police prosecutor Sgt. John Dale said a plastic bottle and a drill bit was found on Peniston when he was searched in connection with another matter on April 5.

"When asked what it was for, he said `smoking rocks','' Sgt. Dale told the court.

A Government analyst found traces of cocaine in the bottle.

Sgt. Dale said Peniston had a record for several similar offences.

"You are back again,'' Magistrate the Wor. Cheryl-Ann Mapp said, before remanding Peniston in custody until Friday when a probation report was due.

Jason Harris, of Middle Town Lane, pleaded guilty to the charge. He also admitted not having permission to drive the car.

Police prosecutor Sgt. Dale said Harris was travelling west on South Shore Road in Paget when he lost control of the car due to a slippery road and collided with a wall on the opposite side of the road.

Harris apologised for "wasting the court's time''.

Magistrate the Wor. Cheryl-Ann Mapp fined him $250 for driving without due care and $100 for driving without authorisation.
