The Pembroke man, who sustained a cut to his nose after being hit by a bottle, was treated at the King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.

The weekend incident happened on Court Street, Hamilton, after what Police described as "a heated argument.'' A Police spokesman said inquiries into the incident were continuing.

In a separate incident, a man was knocked unconscious and lost a tooth in an alleged weekend assault by another man.

The 23-year-old Devonshire victim was taken to hospital, but is understood not to have been seriously injured.

The incident happened on Mullet Bay Road, St. George's.

THIEVES STEAL TILES CRM Thieves steal tiles Police recently attended a Pembroke business to investigate the theft of some tiles.

The tiles were reported stolen sometime last Thursday night at Eurotile on Mill Creek Road.

It was discovered that the offender ripped off some plastic sheeting used to cover the newly-arrived tile and stole ten boxes of 13-inch ceramic tiles.

HANDBAGS SNTACHED CRM Handbags snatched Police are probing the theft of a visitor's handbag from a golf cart at the Port Royal course.

A visiting couple playing a Saturday evening round of golf became victims after two men snatched the bag.

The handbag contained cash, jewellery, passports, airline tickets and other personal items.

The two men were dark-skinned and around 6ft. One was of medium build wearing a dark shirt and shorts, while the other was of thin build with three locks in his hair and dressed in green shorts and a navy blue T-shirt.

In another incident, a handbag was snatched from a car after the owner left it unattended.

The 40-year-old Pembroke woman left her car on Cottage Hill, Hamilton Parish, on Saturday night for around ten minutes and when she returned, the bag had gone.

MAN HAS BAG STOLEN CRM Man has bag stolen A man had his bag stolen as he browsed in a shop.

The 62-year-old man from Devonshire left the leather bag on a clothing rack while he picked up some items in The Barn on Devon Springs Road on Saturday morning.

When he returned to collect the leather bag, it had gone. The bag contained cash, an electronic organiser, credit cards and other items.

CYCLE SHOP RAIDED CRM Cycle shop raided Brazen thieves scaled a fence and stole three livery cycles from Oleander Cycles on Valley Road, Paget.

Police reported that the incident happened sometime between 9 p.m. on Saturday and 8.30 a.m. on Sunday.

"Thieves gained access to the cycle yard by climbing a 5ft fence and removed three red Palio livery cycles,'' spokesman P.c. Gary Venning said.

Police found one of the cycles in Southampton, but the others were still missing.

STORE GUARDS NAB MAN CRM Store guards nab man Security guards nabbed a man who tried to steal goods from Hamilton MarketPlace on Sunday afternoon.

Police said staff saw a 44-year-old Pembroke man put food items into his back pack at about 3 p.m. and walk past the check-out counter without paying.

He was pursued by security guards who took him back to the store where he was handed over to Police.

The food items were found in his bag.

The man is expected to be charged in Magistrates' Court in the near future.
