suspects he was the victim of a grudge attack.

Henry Talbot believes the vehicle was stolen from his yard and deliberately wrecked.

"I do feel this was something malicious,'' he told The Royal Gazette .

Mr. Talbot is now offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.

The Talbot Enterprises truck crashed and overturned at about 11 p.m. on Saturday on North Shore Road, Smith's Parish.

Police say several people were spotted running from the area shortly afterwards. And they have appealed for witnesses.

Said a Police spokesman: "We would like to speak to the driver and passengers of the vehicle.'' The spokesman said the driver apparently lost control of the Isuzu truck on the series of bends at Jennings Road. No other vehicles were involved.

The road was closed for several hours as firemen cleared away the wreckage and spilled oil.

Mr. Talbot is general manager of garbage recycling contractors Talbot Enterprises.

He said the truck was one of a number at his Woodlands Road yard.

He added it was stolen over the weekend.

"I think the thieves had a struggle to get it to go, and when it crashed it did not have any brakes. The fluid lines were broken.'' Mr. Talbot thought the thieves singled out the truck because it was the largest.

"I can't believe they were just joy-riders, otherwise they would have taken another, smaller truck. It was odd that they chose this particular truck.''
