Thomas, 41, of Orange Grove, Pembroke, admitted theft and was fined $250 in Magistrates' Court yesterday.

Out of that fine, he must pay $50 in compensation to his sister, said Senior Magistrate the Wor. Will Francis.

Prosecutor Sgt. Donald Grant said Thomas' sister reported the theft to Police at 4.20 p.m. on February 4.

The cash had been taken from the dresser in her bedroom.

Sgt. Grant said Thomas later protested to Police he was going to pay the money back.

POLICE ARREST BIKE-RIDING TEEN CTS Police arrest bike-riding teen Police arrested a 13-year-old boy during the early hours of yesterday morning on suspicion of stealing a cycle and riding under-age.

The incident occurred shortly after 1 a.m.

Police spokesman P.c. Gary Venning said a Police officer saw two teenagers riding a cycle on Pomander Road in Paget and pursued the cycle to Crow Lane where the youngsters dropped the cycle and ran.

The Pembroke youth was arrested shortly afterwards and the cycle recovered.

WEAPON SEIZED AFTER DISTURBANCE CRM Weapon seized after disturbance A 31-year-old Warwick man was arrested after he was found with an offensive weapon.

Police said they attended a report of a disturbance on Middle Road, Warwick, near the junction with Kyber Pass, on Thursday night.

On arrival officers found two men in a heated argument, Police said.

One of the men, who had a knife, was disarmed by Police and taken into custody.

SEARCH IS ON FOR STOLEN BOAT CRM Search is on for stolen boat St. George's Police are investigating a report of a stolen catamaran.

The vessel, a 16-inch Hobie catamaran with light blue hulls and a black mast, was recently removed from St. David's near the old Stokes Point Bridge.

It has the registration number 4870.

Anyone who can help locate the vessel is asked to contact St. George's Police at 297-1122.

TWO PEOPLE GET STUCK IN LIFT FIR Two people get stuck in lift Fire services came to the rescue this week when two people found themselves trapped in an elevator.

A spokesman said one truck and five men answered a call from the Dallas Building.

After rushing to the scene it took the firemen just six minutes to open the elevator doors and free the two people.
